An AudioGram is a graph that shows a hearing practitioner the audible threshold for standardized frequencies as measured by an audiometer. The Y axis represents intensity measured in decibels and the X axis represents frequency measured in Hertz. Tests are carried out on both your left and right ears to ensure accuracy.

If you already have an Audiogram that is over 6 months old then you will need to be seen again by a Hear for Less endorsed clinic. This is an important part of the process to ensure that the hearing practitioner selects the correct range of Hearing Aids suited to your individual needs and lifestyle.

Why do hearing aids need to be fitted?

Hearing Aids are a medical device created by leading global manufacturers to help you achieve the best quality sound available within your budget.

A professional hearing practitioner has all of the necessary equipment and is specifically trained to provide you with the best person centred care in a face to face consultation.

Above all, your hearing practitioner will want to ensure comfort and quality sound. Remember that fitting hearing aids is only part of the solution.

The most important part of the process is the consultation, counselling and rehabilitation. It’s important to understand what to expect and how your new medical devices will assist you according to your individual hearing needs and lifestyle.
