How do I know if I should get hearing aids?

Family and friends are usually the first to see the signs that you’re hearing isn’t what it used to be. We would be happy to refer you to an Audiologist convenient to your location. Simply email us at [email protected] with your name and phone number and an Audiologist will be in touch. The Audiologist is qualified to give you the best advice suited to your individual needs.

Is hearing loss common?

A 2006 study found that one in six Australians had a hearing loss. This figure was predicted to rise to one in four by 2050. So ear disorders including hearing loss are very common and come at great cost to the Australian community.

Do I need one or two hearing aids?

If there is hearing loss on both ears, from an audiological point of view aiding both ears is highly recommended.

There are a number of advantages of ‘binaural’ hearing – e.g. localisation ability can be better preserved.

Will a hearing aid make my hearing loss worse?

The proper fitting of Hearing Aids through a face to face consultation with an Audiologist will not make an existing hearing loss worse. The longer you wait before using a hearing aid the longer your sound processing areas within the brain are left without stimulation.

Do you have a qualified Hearing Care Professional I can contact?
